Chem² articles

Science for Science aimed to help change the traditional paradigm of scientific publishing by creating high-quality, open-access scientific journals, which would be managed by the scientists themselves on a not-for-profit basis. Chemistry Squared (Chem²), launched with the active support of dozens of prestigious scientists from around the world, was led by researchers Patrick Gámez, Guillem Aromí, Jordi Ribas and Leoní Barrios from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Barcelona, and was supported by the University of Barcelona, the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (IN2UB) and the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA). At an international level, the process of establishing the journal was also being driven by the University of Rennes (France).
